Unlike Road tires there are no wear indicator on my tractor tires. They are 18 years old no dry rot but they and definitley worn bu not worn bald. Do most wait for the tred to have bald spots before replacing.
I also sa that I can buy them online. But I also heard if I do that the tires com COMPRESSED so they a PIA to get mounted even at a tire store. Where I heard they blast them on with a propane burst.
Any advice appreciated!

Tires that are old are dry and loose traction even they still have tread showing. If you on totally flat dry land you can use them until they die. But if you have inclines, wet surfaces, or snow you better get rid of them now.
On the install I woul call a couple tire places to see if they can install a tire that wa compressed for shipping before ordering. ....
